Picture tables adorned with vintage style bunting, cupcakes, balloons, street entertainment, story tellers, face painters bouncy castles and more! Our theme is “Coming Together, Whatever the Weather”, an event that reflects a new multicultural Ireland that St Patrick would be proud of. This will be a fun event for all the family!!

Tug of War

Once a mainstay of all Mullingar festivals, we are proud to announce the comeback of Tug of War in Mullingar; a town that sports strength with every type of sports club you could want. From Angling to Yacht Clubs and all the field sports in between. We also have our unsung sporting heroes and now is the time for everyone to shine. We are calling on pubs and clubs, teams and those with sporting dreams! Are you brave enough to walk in your forefathers’ footsteps as we search for the strongest men and women around. Join in the fun and enter a team here.

Crowd Karaoke

There is nothing better than belting out crowd pleasers with your friends. Our Joe Dolan statue is the perfect landmark to build our crowd karaoke around. A DJ will lead us in song with the lyrics for everyone to sing on a big screen on our market square. We know Joe would approve and can join in on the high notes!!

Sunday 15th March

Beef to the Heels

A Food and Family Festival
“Beef to the heels like a Mullingar Heifer”

Our town park will play host to a gourmet extravaganza. Mullingar is reputed for its fine dining establishments and this event will see all our local goodness on offer in a taste of Mullingar experience. This will boast a host of professional and amateur chefs and barbeque enthusiasts spoiling the locals with their beef and fish dishes. And everyone knows that food tastes better when it is coupled with fun.. The food will be served against a backdrop of vintage sports bringing back the egg and spoon, wheelbarrow and three legged race. There will be a Punch and Judy show, kids crafting, and more. We also cannot forget the other important members of our families; there will be a dog show with plenty of prizes!!

Tuesday 17th March

We will finish the weekend with a grand display of fireworks in the town park. Gather with us on Tuesday night to celebrate St Patrick’s Days with toasted marshmallows, a hot drink and a visual display for all the family to enjoy!!
